Independently bottled Bunnahabhain single malt Scotch whisky, handsomely presented as part of Hunter Laing’s fantastic Old & Rare range. This Islay single malt was distilled in November 1991 and matured in a single hogshead for 22 years, until September 2014, when it was bottled with an outturn of just 239 bottles.
This light golden-colored whisky has a mellow sweet nose of sultanas, raisins, Bakewell tarts, and vanilla toffee with just a trace of peat. It is rich and creamy smooth on the palate, sweet initially with honeycomb then bitter almonds, and a whiff of peat smoke. The finish is long and dry with an oaky, smoky aftertaste. (TWB)
